Beef cattle have always been a important part of the farm and we are
very proud to produce Aberdeen Angus cattle for Waitrose and for a
local producer group, Woburn Country Foods.
Our cattle are grazed on local pastures from March until the end of
October and, brought inside or wintered in root crops until the following spring. We started to market our own beef available to order in freezer packs in 2004.
In 2009 we added a small herd of Belted Galloway cows. Their distinctive white belts make them an attractive feature to the farm.
Bebe, Dora and Wendy are due to calve in the spring of 2010.
The secret of good beef is to keep the cattle happy and healthy. The result
is very tender, juicy meat, with a natural marbling of fat that melts during
cooking, creating a wonderful flavour.

We are proud to offer our customers 2 sizes of box containing selected cuts of our home produced beef, including roasting joints, steaks, stewing and braising.
Unlike most supermarket beef, our beef is hung for 21 days further enhancing the flavour and tenderness, and you are assured that it hasn't travelled hundreds or even thousands of miles to reach you.

It is then cut by our skilled butcher into roasting joints, steaks, stewing and mince. A large box constitutes 1/8th of an animal giving a total weight of 22-26kg and a small box 1/16th being 11-13kg.
