Wood ShavingsWe stock a wide range of shavings to suit different purposes and different budgets. All are dust extracted and are available in quantities of 10 bales to 960 bale loads. Shavings are a slightly more expensive than straw but offer the following advantages: Dust Free - For horses with dust allergies or COPD or Asthmatic owners Unpalatable - Horses who tend to eat their bedding will not usually eat shavings Easy to muck out - Less time mucking out means more time riding! Smaller muck heaps - Using shavings enables you to take less out of the bed when mucking out. Consistent supply and quality - Shavings are available all year round and are not dependant on the weather for good quality Easier to store - All our shavings supplied by the pallet are hooded and wrapped to allow them to be stored outside. Cleaner and less smell than straw - Shavings made from pine bring a clean fresh smell to the stable with the advantage of being a natural disinfectant. Shavings are also more absorbent than straw and dry out quicker. The Natural RangeThis range is manufactured solely for the equine market and is not a by-product of sawmills. The large flakes give a very large fluffy bed. It has excellent wear characteristics and in dry weather is less likely to become dusty as your horse walks around on it. Natural White is a pure pine shaving of the finest quality. Natural Standard is a mixture of 95% white pine and 5% redwood shavings, giving similar characteristics as the Natural White at a more economical price. The Euro RangeThese shavings are manufactured by one of Europe?s largest shavings company. The shavings are a smaller flake than the Natural range and similar to may other brands. Euro White is 100% white pine wood shavings and are suited to both deep bed and rubber matting systems. Euro Standard is 95% white pine and 5% redwood offering a very economically priced product and is very popular for customers with a large number of stables. |
