Who We Are

We produce a wide range of hay and haylage to suit all equines from race horses, international showjumpers and eventers to horses with health issues which require a strictly controlled diet. Every stage of the production process is based here at Old Manor Farm, from seeding to delivery of our products to your yard.

All our hay and haylage has a full nutritional and mineral analysis to enable you to tailor your horse’s diet to its needs. We work closely with Forageplus who can provide the perfect balancer to enhance the nutritional elements of our forage.

The best quality forage is the backbone of your horse’s diet and that buying a good quality forage is the most cost effective means of feeding your horse, reducing the requirement for bagged feed.

Our bedding is sourced from sustainable supplies both in the UK and Europe. All our woodshavings and straw-based bedding products are dust extracted.

We have a range of delivery vehicles to deliver from 40 to 1000 bales direct to your yard.

Mark Cooper

Managing Director

Mark started the Old Manor Farm equestrian forage business as a diversification of the main family farm business in 2000 after graduating from Harper Adams College and returning home to the family farm. He is the 5^th generation to farm the fields at Old Manor Farm, which have grown crops and raised beef cattle since 1912. An opportunity to rent some nearby grass fields arose in 2000 and he made a few small bales and advertised them in the local newspaper. Gradually, a reputation for quality hay and good service grew and customers were asking for haylage, shavings and straw as well as hay so these were added to the products on offer. Mark takes care of all the order processing , delivery planning and day to day running of the business. In his spare time Mark enjoys skiing, sailing, shooting and training Isla, his working cocker spaniel.

Will Green

Will joined the company in 2016 after finishing his diploma in Agriculture at Shuttleworth college. Will is Mark’s ‘right hand man’ and shares the day to day tasks of cultivations, seeding and harvesting of all the farm crops as well as carrying out deliveries to our customers. Will gained his HGV license in 2018. In his spare time Will enjoys clay pigeon shooting and rearing Aberdeen Angus beef cattle .
